ABOUT RACHEL ENGELS

Born and raised in Chicago, I attended college at Indiana University in Bloomington, and graduated with a degree in psychology. After graduating, my husband and I moved to Fort Wayne, where I began a career in social work. I left the social work field when I had my kids, and became a stay-at-home mom for over 5 years.

During my time at home, I opened up both an in-home doggy daycare and a photo booth business, which I still own today. But despite having those jobs, I began to feel the pull to return to a full-time career. I knew I wanted a career that revolved around helping others, without all the ups and downs that are often a part of social work. From there I found my passion for real estate—a career that allows me to help others turn their dreams into reality, while still getting to be a hands-on and present mother to my two boys.

My goal as a realtor is not just to sell homes, but to make a positive difference in people's lives. Because of this, I pride myself on being a resource for my clients throughout every step of the process, day or night. I share all my knowledge and experience freely with my clients, because I want each person I work with to have everything they need to make the best, most informed choice they can make for themselves and for their families--even if it ultimately means they choose not to buy or sell. I may be an expert in real estate, but YOU are an expert in your life and your needs, and helping you achieve the best possible outcome for your unique situation will always be my top priority.

When I’m not working, I love zoo days with my family, trips to the beach, singing/hosting karaoke, playing competitive pinball, and painting!
